What to Expect in a Group Workout Class at The League

Wondering what to expect from a group workout class experience at The League? Our signature PAC(K) Training format, offers you 45 minutes of a full-body functional workout in four phases.

In classes at The League, you’ll always begin with some stretching and dynamic warm-up movements, and then you’ll engage the core!

Once we're warm and loose with the core fired up, we begin our Power phase, which brings you strength drills. This is modifiable to any level – whether you're a seasoned athlete lifting heavy and moving fast, or a beginner looking to work with lighter load at a slower pace.

We then shift gears and get into the Aerobics phase, bringing you fun and socially driven cardio drills at your level.

Finally, we dive into the Circuit Training phase, where the class is portioned into teams and revolves around a circuit for three laps with rest periods between sets. Again, it is totally modifiable to meet you at your level! You can also expect a friendly and attentive coach, an upbeat playlist, and incredible friendships as fellow Leaguers genuinely root you on!

Why Group Workout Classes Are More Effective Than Solo Workouts

Have you ever left the gym asking yourself, “was that even effective?” One of the biggest disconnects with solo workouts is decision fatigue and distraction.

Countless studies from major universities and publications have confirmed that socialization improves the pursuit of fitness. That is to say, we perform better in community.

When we workout by ourselves, we have a lower sense of accountability and also a markedly lower fitness output. Research has shown that training in a group environment boosts our willingness to show up, our pace of movement, the quality of our form and safety, and even our results. This is because when we make friends with those also pursuing the goal of fitness, we can mutually motivate each other, holding everyone to a higher standard and enjoying the journey toward health 
and longevity together.

With our group exercise classes at The League, you simply show up to an expertly programmed workout, and The League-certified coach will guide you through each movement, allowing you 
to modify for your level. That’s a very efficient
45 minutes of sweat!
